Each year, Outpost 33 establishes a theme of ministry for the year, as well as, monthly themes. This year our theme has just one word – FOCUS. No it is not an eccentric acronym for anything. It is one simple word with a powerful meaning. Webster’s dictionary defines the word FOCUS as a point where rays of light come together or the place where rays of reflected or refracted light meet. The staff of commanders at Ft. Oaks have open themselves to be used totally by God and become a FOCUS where God’s rays of light can come together as a beacon of guidance for boys and young men.
The world of these boys and young men are not like the world of their parents. Between modern violence and adverse peer pressure; they encounter shades of darkness we never dreamed of facing at their ages. Nor have many parents encountered such dark depravity of morality present in our culture today. The staff of commanders at Ft. Oaks wish to come along side parents and help instill/reinforce the Godly values you wish for your boys and young men to have. We know that boys and young men will mirror what is reflected to them. That is why Ft. Oaks staff will model affirmation, acceptance, appreciation, affection, availability, and accountability to each boy and young man. We Commanders invite both families new and old to bring your boy or young man to Royal Rangers at 7-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday’s and allow Christ to FOCUS through our Staff on your boy or young man.
